It Would Have Happened Anyway

Iran is actively trying to produce weapons grade plutonium.  At Arak, heavy water production is progressing in a manner that gives its managers, and the government, "pleasure."  Mark my words, the next anti-war tirade from the leftists, who would never support America in any conflict under any circumstance, will blame our President and the Iraq war for the Iranian nuclear buildup.  This will be but a half-truth.

"Iran’s government officials are undoubtedly soiling their collective underwear.  They see that 18 out of 20 Iraqi provinces are in complete peace, and the terrorists ... in the other two are despondent and demoralized as our heroic troops, in combination with the Free Iraqi armed forces, are eradicating them."

Iran’s government officials are undoubtedly soiling their collective underwear.  They see that 18 out of 20 Iraqi provinces are in complete peace, and the terrorists (the press tries to lionize them as "insurgents") in the other two are despondent and demoralized as our heroic troops, in combination with the Free Iraqi armed forces, are eradicating them.  Handily.  They realize that their sponsorship and support of these terrorists will, sooner or later, smack head-on into the Bush doctrine.  They feel that their only recourse is to protect their evil, totalitarian regime from us by creating a nuclear deterrent.  To that end, the leftists are half-right when they say that our successful (they won’t admit that part) war in Iraq has caused Iraq to expedite its nuclear program.

However, the leftists, in the pinnacle of their accuracy, are half-right.  To think that Iran, a rogue state that is run by an alleged kidnapper of our embassy hostages, would not have engaged in nuclear acquisitiveness if we had left Iraq to Saddam, is stupid.  Iran supports, financially and logistically, all forms of Islamic terrorism.  Iran wants to eradicate Israel from this planet; Iran wants to place every Arab state into the same sort of regime that it hosts; Iran would find a nuclear capability extremely helpful in its bullying of civilized nations.  In short, it would have happened anyway.

"Iran has thumbed its nose at John Kerry’s most beloved France, when they tried to discourage its nuclear ambitions.  Iran and France used to be very friendly.  That friendship is strained, to say the least."

Iran has thumbed its nose at John Kerry’s most beloved France, when they tried to discourage its nuclear ambitions.  Iran and France used to be very friendly.  That friendship is strained, to say the least.  France as a country has generally hated to be shown to be wrong.  Now, they are seen to be wrong in their foreign policy, and our President is seen to be right.  Of course, the press will downplay this to the maximum possible extent.  They want no good news whatsoever about the United States or our beloved President to ever leak out.  W was right and France was wrong.  To those of us who ensure that they get the whole story, we know that this is nothing new.

Now we know we were right.  But that does little to satiate our concerns about a terrorist nation getting its hands on nukes.  Should we sit back and relax, and trust that Israel will go and bomb these plants?  They’ve done similar things before; their self-preservation interests in this matter exceed ours.  No.  We cannot relax.  We need to, however, kick backsides in Iran before Israel feels compelled to do so.  If we fail to keep Iran from getting nukes, we will be attacked with them.  Our troops will be hit in Iraq; terrorists will attempt, and possibly succeed, in smuggling them into the United States, and if the nukes make it inside our borders, they will be used without warning.  Then what do we do?  The scenario could rapidly spin out of control.  China gets a great deal of oil from Iran.  We cannot nuke Iran without risking war with China.

"I could continue, but I think I have said enough to clearly make the point.  Iran cannot be allowed to ever acquire even one nuclear weapon.  This will require military action.  Face it.  The leftists are simply bracing for our inevitable attack on Iran."

I could continue, but I think I have said enough to clearly make the point.  Iran cannot be allowed to ever acquire even one nuclear weapon.  This will require military action.  Face it.  The leftists are simply bracing for our inevitable attack on Iran.  We will bomb the Arak and Natanz nuclear sites, plus others that intelligence services know about and have not disclosed to the public.  We all know that they exist.  After we bomb Iran’s nuclear program into oblivion, the terrorists will come after us.  We’ll invade, overthrow and install a republic in Iran.  Will it be as low-casulaty as Iraq?  Nope.  Will it be as successful?  Probably.

When it happens, don’t fret.  The left will implode in rage, right up to the point we capture some evidence or another of a planned nuclear bomb destined for our shores.  There will be other differences.  For starters, France and Germany will be on our side and actively fighting in this liberation.  As long as China is in the mix, there are risks.  But, we’re not attacking China in any way, and we may just ask China to join us in this fight.  And China may just agree to do so.  Once terrorists have nukes, the notion of their deciding that China ought to be a terrorist target will unsettle their leaders as much as it unsettles us.

When this happens, the left will go bonkers.  Why do you think that our President is planning to reduce troop levels in Iraq?  He has to deal with Iran!  The left will call W an imperialist warmonger, and other names far too obscene to be repeated here.  But just remember:  It would have happened anyway.
