Sick and Tired: Nazi analogies!
Julian Bond is the chairman of the NAACP, or as Rush Limbaugh more correctly notes, NAA*L*CP. The L stands for liberal, because to a bigot like Julian Bond, you are not truly black unless you are ready to make the government your "massa," and you are willing to pick the cotton of the Democrats to the exclusion of all others. Today, Bond referred to Condi Rice and Colin Powell, the first two African Americans ever to hold the highest cabinet position in the United States of America, as "tokens." He then went on, in a truly offensive and disgusting speech, to say that the Republican party would have the "American flag and the swastika flying side by side."
I am sick and tired and fed up with these constant, evil, libelous comparisons of Republicans to the Nazis. The last Democratic President Pro Tempore of the Senate, third in line to the Presidency, was a member of the Ku Klux Klan! For absolutely every single piece of civil rights legislation passed through the Congress from 1950 to date, a higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats voted to enact these measures. The same Klansman who Democrats put into the presidential succession as late as 2001-03, the man who on 9/11 could have become President, once filibustered civil rights bills! And we are the racists? The Republicans are the ultimate anti-racists!
"The Nazi party, the formal name of which is the National Socialist Workers’ Party, was and is an extreme left wing organization that, just like the Democrats, sought strict government control over the economy, governmental services and industry."
The Nazi party, the formal name of which is the National Socialist Workers’ Party, was and is an extreme left wing organization that, just like the Democrats, sought strict government control over the economy, governmental services and industry. In the 1930s and 1940s, it was the Democratic Left Wing, embodied by people like Joseph Kennedy, Sr., father to John F. Kennedy (who was nothing like his father, thank God), and Senator Teddy Kennedy, who sympathized with and idolized Hitler. The present Democratic party is, in almost every way that counts, the ideological and philosophical heir to the Nazi party.
For example, Democrats, for the most part, and especially their leadership, dislike or even hate Jews. Look at leftist darling Cindy Sheehan and her anti-Semitic and anti Israel rants. Al Sharpton incited anti-Jewish violence in Crown Heights in 1991. Anyone remember Jesse Jackson Sr. uttering the epithet "hymietown" to describe New York City? Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of Washington went down to defeat in 2002 after blaming "Jews" for faltering poll numbers, instead of her allegations that President Bush knew about and allowed 9/11 to happen. In 2002 congressman Earl Hilliard of Alabama said of his opponent, Artur Davis: "Davis and the Jews, No Good for the Black Belt." Messrs. Davis and Hilliard are both black. Mr. Hilliard’s rabid anti-Semitic bigotry was rewarded when he was elected head of the Congressional Black Caucus. Congressman James Moran of Virginia alleged that "the leaders of the Jewish community" sent us to war in Iraq. Many many more examples of the rampant anti-Semitic bigotry among Democrats abound.
On the other hand, we "Nazi" Republicans love, and will go to bat for, our great ally Israel. Republicans generally support Israel. ’Nuff said.
"What Democrat has promoted African Americans to the very highest possible cabinet position? There is a very strong movement within our party to draft Condi Rice to run for President in 2008!"
Bond also called Condi Rice and Colin powell "tokens." Why? They’re Republican. What Democrat has promoted African Americans to the very highest possible cabinet position? None! There is a very strong movement within our party to draft Condi Rice to run for President in 2008! See http://www.rice2008.com for yourself. When she runs, and wins, will our leader be a "token" leader? President Bush has appointed more females and minorities to high cabinet positions than any other president, and unlike President Clinton’s true token appointments (Ron Brown to Commerce), President Bush doesn’t stand around all day and say "Hey looky looky! I got me a black person in my cabinet!" Instead, he looks at people based not on the color of their skin but the content of their characters. The Republicans, and especially our President, are the embodiment of Dr. King’s dream.
The Democrats in this country are the true practitoners of racism. Ask Michael Steele, Lt. Gov of Maryland, a black man pelted with Oreo cookies for running for governor on the GOP ticket. For that matter, ask Condi about the cartoons showing her as a parrot and calling her the "house nigga" and suggesting that she ought to be sent to a "racial re-education camp." Ever wonder where that term, "re-education camp," came from? If you answered the Nazis, you get a gold star. Oops, in the Democrats’ world, that would get you a ride to another kind of Nazi camp.
My only comfort comes in watching the Democrats implode. Julian Bond angered his own audience so much that several members got up and left, solely because of his horrific, peccant, malefic, odious rhetoric. Bond is symptomatic of the 1960s contingent of the civil rights movement. The Rices, Powells, Clarence Thomases and Michael Steeles of this world are moving civil rights to its logical conclusion: racially blind equality under the law. Bond cannot stand the notion of a world where he can no longer claim victimhood, where his organization is no longer needed like it was when Democrats called Africans "boy" and other worse names, and blocked school entrances to keep them out of white schools. He bases his existence upon the notion that his people are perpetual victims, and that is pure B.S., as his putative "token" examples continually prove.
Julian Bond wants to keep his people in bondage to the Democrats, so that he personally can have power. That is the most odious form of megalomania. His goal should be to reach the day when NAACP is unnecessary. Had you asked Thurgood Marshall on the day that the supreme Court handed him the victory in Brown v. Board of Education if his NAACP should be perpetual, he certainly would have said "NO!" NAACP is still needed, but it will never be able to achieve the final eradication of racism in our government and institutions until it breaks with the racists that run and fund the Democratic party. But Bond cannot do that and still maintain his power base.
What is even more sickening is that this disgusting display comes out while Coretta Scott King’s body isn’t yet cold. Bond desecrates her memory and that of every other civil rights hero, from Frederick Douglass to Thurgood Marshall to Rosa Parks to Dr. King himself. Bond makes himself and his storied organization into the house boy of people like Al Franken, who cannot lower himself to hire minorities, and John Kerry, whose 2004 campaign staff was snow white.
Think of this: Most black people hate the Republicans, based on the propaganda of the Left, of which the NAALCP is a primary distributor. Yet the judge that NAALCP alleged was racist, and wanted to block from the Supreme Court, cast his first two votes as Justice Alito yesterday to prevent a black man from being executed! Who’s the racist here? I submit it is the person who can call great Americans like Condi Rice and Colin Powell "tokens" based on their party affiliation, and in the face of a mountain of contrary evidence.
"Very few black people are Republican, but a huge number of them hold positions of power! Over ninety percent of black people are Democrats, yet they can only manage one senator..."
Very few black people are Republican, but a huge number of them hold positions of power! Over ninety percent of black people are Democrats, yet they can only manage one senator, and he was elected after the overwhelming favorite candidate got caught up in a goofy sex scandal. By the way, if Barack Obama would have lost, the winner would have been black as well, and Republican. In the last Democratic cabinet, none of the top five positions were held by minorities. In fact, no Democrat has ever appointed a minority to any of the top five cabinet posts, and only one woman. One party says it wants equality and practices bigotry. The GOP, by contrast, practices equality with neither fanfare nor self-aggrandizement.
Julian Bond is detached from reality. He deserves our pity, but at this time I think the best thing for him is a heaping dose of our hall of Shame. Shame on you, Mr. Bond. You have debased your organization and yourself and conducted yourself as a banal and vapid demirep.
