Al-Qaeda's Marksmanship -- Slipping!

Three Russian Katyusha shoulder-firing rockets were fired at two U.S. warships docked at Aqaba, Jordan.  American death toll: zero.  American property damage: zero.  Number of rockets that hit their targets: zero.  An Al Qaeda group, the "Abdullah Azzam Brigades," claimed responsibility for this attack, framing it in glorious terms.  The article appears to state that the two warships, two amphibious assault ships, the Kearsage and the Ashland, left port as a reult of these attacks.  I tend to believe that they were leaving port anyway at the time that they left.

What marksmanship!  One missile hit a warehouse and killed a Jordanian soldier.  One missile landed in another country, Israel, inflicting minor injuries on a cab driver.  Why, it’s no wonder that Al Qaeda wanted to get out in front of this story and brag about its attack!  The leftist press calls this the worst terrorist attack on our Navy since USS Cole.  What?  They missed!  What is truly amazing is the fact that these bumblers actually had the brass cajones to brag about it!  If you read the terrorists’ brag, the main "achievement" bragged is that the terrorists were not killed or captured when they fled the scene!

Compare this with September 2001, when a co-ordinated attack of military precision killed over 3,000 innocents.  Four out of four missiles, in that case hi-jacked passenger jets, caused the death of all occupants of the jets.  Three of four hit their intended targets, and in the process destroyed two of the world’s tallest and most recognizable buildings, and damaged our military’s main headquarters.

These Arabs were looking to kill Americans and managed to kill one Arab, and injure one Israeli citizen (his name appears to be Arab, but I am unsure), slightly.  Our warships were unscathed.  No matter how you look at it, the attack was a failure for Al Qaeda.  The leftist press tried to spin the news to be bad for our President, by stating that one missile "narrowly missed" one of the ships.

Well, Al Qaeda is slipping.  These people fired missiles from an elevated position and missed two huge targets.  I’d love to credit our security, but that would be wrong.  What’s to blame is that virtually all of the skilled terrorists are either dead or in custody.  Now that is something that rightly credits to our President. 

These bumblers missed.  Let’s hope and pray they keep on bumbling and missing.
