What a Difference a Week Makes!

It’s been about a week since I’ve written for Conservativity.  In that week, our Vice President has joined President Bush in the steel cajones club.  A Democratic congressman declared that we should leave Iraq at once, or in six months if you count his Kerryesque flipflop.  The House leadership called the Left on their cowardice, and forced a vote on a resolution to withdraw now from Iraq, which lost with only two affirmative votes.  CNN put a big nasty black "X" over our Vice President’s face while covering a speech, and then said that it was a technical glitch.  What a difference a week makes!

"While the extreme Left continues to cry for impeachment, investigations, and the like, our administration has quietly kept on working."

While the extreme Left continues to cry for impeachment, investigations, and the like, our administration has quietly kept on working.  They assured that Ben Bernanke would be confirmed as the Fed chairman.  Joe Biden is grumbling about Sam Alito’s nomination to the Supreme Court, and raising the possibility of a filibuster. The extreme Left has falsely accused Rush Limbaugh of profiting from the war by setting up a way for his listeners to sponsor free access to his online broadcast stream and mail newsletter for troops.  The stilted polls still show a low approval rating for our President.  Nonetheless, he stays the course, and tours the world while Jay Leno hosts a Jimmy Carter Bush-bashing lie-fest on November 21.  What a difference a week makes!

While the extreme Left thinks that it has a 2006 Congressional takeover complete, even John McCain is ready to slash the devil out of excess spending.  Lindsey Graham, one of the senators who has pledged to go Nuclear on any Alito filibuster, has joined with McCain to slash budget, and this means that spending will be cut.  This, falling gas prices (they are falling even though the extreme Leftist media says that they are climbing, just ask my car’s gas tank), and Ben Bernanke have propelled the stock market to over 10,800, a level not seen since before 9/11.  If the Democrats still refrain with the "It’s the economy, stupid!" saying, one should note that the economy is still going well despite Alan Greenspan’s and the Democrats’ best efforts to ruin it.  Ben Bernanke will come in and either cut or stop playing with interest rates, and the market will be at 13,000 before the 2006 elections.  What a difference a week makes!

"One brave congresswoman from Ohio went on the House floor and read a letter about our "cut and run" congressman, sent by a soldier, that intimated that the congressman was a coward.  Well, the poor woman was nearly crucified by screaming rabid Leftist wolverines.  She was forced to withdraw her remarks."

One brave congresswoman from Ohio went on the House floor and read a letter about our "cut and run" congressman, sent by a soldier, that intimated that the congressman was a coward.  Well, the poor woman was nearly crucified by screaming rabid Leftist wolverines.  She was forced to withdraw her remarks.  So make sure to send the "preserving the First Amendment freedom of speech" award to Nancy Pelosi, the lead crucifier.  The trend turns away from the evil cowards; even the New York Times did a piece noting the hypocrisy of all of the naysayers who originally supported the Iraq war (Howard Dean, John "Impeach Bush" Kerry, Bill "war is a big mistake" Clinton, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, and the rest of the gang).  What a difference a week makes!

Imagine how much better things will be in another week.
