John Ashcroft is a devout and decent man.  His decency is near-legendary, epitomized by his undying support for his wife after she was raped some years ago. This good man was brutalized by the storm troopers of the elitist left, and he resigned on Election Day 2004.  It was public knowledge yesterday.  Our President, slandered by these same leftists as a racist, sexist, homophobic bigot, has again showed the left to be the kooks that they are.  He nominated Alberto Gonzales, presently White House Counsel, to replace the honorable Mr. Ashcroft.  What does this nomination show to all of us?  Our President earns the title of Our President on a daily basis.  Here is the man who happily nominates people of color and ethnicity to his cabinet, including all but one of his top four advisors.  The Secretary of State is an African American hero, Colin Powell.  Our National Security Advisor, and the Conservativity choice for President in 2008 is Dr. Condoleeza Rice, an African American woman.  The Secretary of Education is Rod Paige, African American.  Norman Mineta, hispanic, secretary of Transportation.  Now, Alberto Gonzales, hispanic, nominee for Attorney General.

Now, in a classic display of core integrity, W again exhibits the moral certitude and consistency that earned him his second term, the respect of a clear majority of the people, and the terrified fear of the terrorists.  Diversity is not a punchline to an elitist joke about making the "proles" think that the elites give a damn about them, when they could care less whether they live or die as long as the votes come in (this is especially true in states like Illinois, where the dead have always enjoyed voting rights, especially in Cook County).  It is a thrill to see someone living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue whose life’s mission is integrity.  Man, am I proud to be American!  Thank God for this wonderful country, and may He continue to bless us!
