Less than one Month to Get to This Point!

Conservativity is nascent as far as webzines go.  With our present staff level, we’re more of a blog than a webzine.  Nonetheless, we are stunned.  We were doing some weblog checking yesterday night.  We ran the reports on the home page and looked at the number from October 20 (launch date) through November 10.  On Election day, we had 22,000 unique IP addresses hit our home page, a number I consider breathtaking!  On November 10, iunstead of cooling off like some of the other politiblogs, we’ve seen an increase!  Yesterday, we had 30,409 unique ip addresses hit our home pages and open at least one article.  That means 30,409 unique people hit our home page, and did more than just kick tires!

How can we thank you for the popularity of this site?  If trends continue, within a year, we’ll be a top ten conservative web destination!  We have to do some grateful things for you.  Technically, we’ll work hard to quickly implement a full-text search of our site.  We’ve had problems getting Google to do this searching; Googlebot has yet to index this site properly.  But, this webzine is technologically pretty advanced, and we should be able to make an exemplary full text search.  Next, Conservativity will be offering a RSS news feed of our most recent articles, and we will actively encourage people to use our RSS feed to catch the latest.

Editorially, we’re setting our sights high.  We’re trying to find at least two "household name" commentators to write at least one article per week.  I would like to get two people of the stature of Sean Hannity or Ann Coulter.  We’re working on this now, but I make no promises until the day we announce.  We’re also looking for eight to ten others who can join the team to write at least one article per week.  The money is not great (yet), but the audience is growing nicely!
